So it's my first time writing something on DeviantArt.
I'm studying design at the moment, but my school isn't really giving me what I want. They tend to give us projects and sometimes let us do our own thing. I just feel like it's not pushing the limits of what I can be capable of.
Sculpture is my passion. I have a bit of a knack for it, I'm told. And for the 27 years I've been alive, it's the only thing that's like second nature to me. It's what I want to do for a living, I just don't know where to start. It would be great to work for Weta Workshop, since it's here in New Zealand where I live, but I still have a long way to go before I reach that level.
Recently I've been working on heads. Heads with two faces. Harvey Two-Face. I keep making the heads again and again. I'm never really satisfied with the result. I have a headsculpt that I'm about 75 percent happy with.
But I know I'll keep trying to push myself to make better stuff, to keep improving. No matter how good you are at something, there is always room for improvement. I guess for now I'll just keep pushing myself until I get to the level of Weta stuff and see where I go from there.
